Fruit tree, Japanese Maple, Lilac, hydrangeas - these plants usually can use a refresher pruning job. If you would like to know how and why and when to prune, we can do that as part of Consulting or Coaching. If you would like me to prune for you, I can quote your project depending on its extent. My max tree height is 15 feet. Renovation pruning of a overgrown hot mess of a tree is a process that usually takes up to three years. Because we can’t just chop a lot off - the trees will not like that. Good renovation pruning happens in July too. That’s when we stop growth. We can talk all about this more - this subject is dear to my heart.

We’ll go through the design process in small stages that feel comfortable and empowering. You will learn about the permaculture based principals of zones of use, microclimate influencing vectors, maximizing sun and shade resources, growing healthy soils and more. How does it flow, what emotions are revealed, what do you want to harvest? We will consider factors such as views, aspect, elevation, wind, fire, road noise and water. You can also rely on me to consult on irrigation concepts and erosion control, infrastructure, and hardscape that I’ve learned from hands on garden building for decades. I also design decks and purgolas.
